Brian Boyle

Brian Boyle

Welcome to Massage & Physical Therapy at Koru Chiropractic. My name is Brian Boyle and since qualifying as a Neuromuscular Physical Therapist I have gained vast experience and knowledge in treating and rehabilitating physical ailments. I have worked with a wide range of symptoms and injuries within various age groups, and strive to provide an individual treatment plan and rehabilitation programme for each client.

I have been involved with a variety of sports teams from playing to coaching for the past 25 years. From playing hurling and football at a competitive level, I have seen many players including myself pick up injuries. The body’s ability to repair and rejuvenate itself with the help of physical therapy and deep tissue work fascinated me. This led me to study this field and I am passionate about getting to the root of peoples various and sometimes complex physical issues.

I would feel confident that all clients would feel an improvement from their first visit. I love what I do and adore my profession as the satisfaction of knowing I’m helping people who are in need is fulfilling. Knowing I am a part of their journey to recover to full health is the best job satisfaction you can get.

It is an effective form of treatment and prevention of a wide variety of muscle related conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue Massage is an extremely effective therapy that targets deep layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is one of the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort. Deep Tissue Massage relieves the body of toxins and lactic acid build up thus loosening muscles and giving greater movement. Deep tissue massage will noticeably loosen muscles, elevate pain, and increase mobility – all significant benefits. Each treatment can be adjusted to suit the client at any stage to gain the maximum results. Massage is an integral part of manual medicine, emphasising the use of the hands in the treatment of injury and disease, and it is the foundation for Physical Therapy.

Injury Recovery / Rehabilitation

There never is a good time to have an injury! While it is important to get the injured sports person back on track as quickly as possible, the main aim is to keep people active and injury free. Having played sport at a high level I understand the importance of getting back as soon as possible. I understand the importance of being injury free and the frustration of those niggling injuries. Sports injuries respond well to physical therapy treatment. In order to speed up the recovery process the techniques used target the affected area with science based techniques for maximum results. Rehabilitation plays an important role in getting the injured athlete back to full strength and helping them to remain injury free. Sports injuries can be due to the repetitive nature of the chosen sport, muscle tightness or weakness, stress on joints, poor techniques or due to contact injuries.

Orthopaedic Sports Massage

Orthopaedic Sports Massage therapy is used not only by top athletes, but by most people interested in sports and fitness. Sports massage is a speciality within the field of massage therapy that focuses specifically on assisting the training process, preventing injury and aiding the healing process when injury occurs. Both the occasional athlete and the serious athlete can encounter soreness and injury, making this form of massage beneficial no matter how athletic a person is.
